SELF CONTROL
Self
control is the act of restraining yourself from doing something which may fall
back at you.
It
is the ability to hold back one’s emotion or preventing yourself from taking
the wrong decision in which you would later regret.
Self
control adds quality to your personality, it is one of the positive values
which every individual ought to possess.
Self
control is like a form of discipline, discipline in the sense that cautioning
one self not to do something wrong.
When
a person has self control he can be able to tolerate to the most bearable
degree. He/she abstains from causing commotion or creating a scene due to
provocation or when been provoked.
Self
control, tolerance and discipline are interrelated.
People
who can’t control themselves are like cities without walls to protect them.
Just
as cities which are walled through to establish boundaries between other cities
to act as protection a person without an attribute of self control is likened
to a city without walls. Moreover, a city without walls would be shattered when
there is a counter attack against it because it is unsecured.
